O.K. The first season is over and we know there is much room to improve. Tell us what sucked, what needs to be improved, what you just can't stand, and oh yeah, if you saw something you liked, let us know that too. If there is something that would make you want to come back, (ie: weekly pick-em, voting in polls, etc.) we want ideas. We are Big Boys and we can handle the crit, let us have it so we can make the site better!

We here at the saferoom are not sure what happened to one of our favorite websites,
but there is a clue in their parting page.

We are concerned about the outcome, and we are concerned about the 1st Ammendment.
We, and nobody else we know of, has really figured out wtf is going on, but stay tuned, it could get interesting.
And Please, go to the next blog, it made a much better front page.

Hey, I know none of the visitors to this website would ever do it at work, where they are supposed to be making money for the boss. However, there are times that we accidentally click the wrong link, you know, the one you saved in your favorites for use when you're off the clock ( 15 minute break, lunch, whatever). Anyways, you either accidentally clicked the link, or you are sitting at your desk, eating your delivered Jimmy John's Sub on your lunch break, and you decided to see if GHF has had any aneurysms today. But, Murphy is your lawyer, and the second you get the Friday special up ( it's coming and it is going to be a cheap rip off of the guys at EDSBS) the boss walks in. Well don't worry, ole SaltyGator has given you a ejection chair. Click the Chompin' Gator near the top of the left side of the page. Just don't let the ole' man look at the address bar. You need to say something cute like, "I was just looking for ideas to help improve the organization" ( but give him time to check out the big fonts on the page before you kill the browser). The folks over at Hooters thought this one up and I just thought it was cool enough to link. So show your support and visit Hooters and the Hooters website often to show your appreciation for what they have done for humanity.

Well after five days of adding pages, deleting pages, phone calls, emails, forum discussions, and even a little pillow talk with the members of the brain trust that hatched this idea, we have narrowed our focus a little. Keeping the motivation for project in mind (Gators, beer, babes(Ms. Shue)), we have progressed a somewhat during the week. I haven't really completed the Mission Statement yet, but the general direction of the site is going to be a something to the effect of a Virtual Man Cave (like minded chicks are welcomed and since they make-up 50% of the Executive Board. I'm sure there will be plenty of content dedicated to their interest). We are dedicated to the pursuit of the that which originally motivated us ( Elisabeth, if you are reading this, I can be reached at mailto:saltygator@saferoomgatorclub.com ). Doesn't hurt, I'm sure she occasionally Googles her name. Anyway, the key feature of the site is going to be GHF's (Gator Head Funnel) blog, and the rest of us are going to put up some hopefully interesting information on how to enjoy the Gators more. Remember to send us your ideas, cuz, this thing is wide open.

Well this was an idea hatched out of watching the 2006 Gator Highlight DVD and some beer. Several gator fans sitting around talking about the various college sports blogs and comparing notes decided we have some insight or at least opinions that are at least worth sharing. We also think there are others out there that probably wouldn't mind getting in a few good shots at the competition. So, here we go. A virtual gator club for gator fans, presented by gator fans, and as much as it can, run by the membership. The website is about 8 hours old at this writing. We have a lot of work to do, but, if your interested, and you want a place to discuss anything that is related to the Gators, click the Register link in the top right hand corner of the page. Registration is free, we will not sell, give away, or reproduce your information in anyway. The registration is only so we can control who is posting to the site. Unfortunately, when you set up a site where users can publish, you have to have a way of turning them off if they becaome offensive. We are asking that all content published, be Rated "R" at the most. Kids, and our parents, will surely find there way here. Once you are a registered member, you will see a suggestion box on the left side of the home page, tell us what kind of content or functionality you would like to see and we will do our best to provide it.
